Abstract
PURPOSE:To give a sufficiently charged potential in the dark, by adding a specified disazo pigment to a charge generating layer and a specified hydrazone compound to a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:A disazo pigment to be added to a charge generating layer is represented by the general formula (1) in which A is phenyl, chlorophenyl, nitrophenyl, 2,5-dichlorophenyl, 2-methyl-5-chlorophenyl, or 2-methyl-4-chlorophenyl. A hydrazone compound to be added to a charge transfer layer is represented by the general formula (2) in which R1 is methyl, ethyl, hydroxyethyl, or 2-chloroethyl; R2 is methyl, ethyl, benzyl, or phenyl; and R3 is H, chlororine, bromine, 1-4C alkyl or alkoxy, dialkylamino, or nitro.
