Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve safety by changing, in phased indication of a rear obstacle, relation between each boundary distance and a detected distance to a rear obstacle by a predetermined distance and indicating a distance shorter to a car than the detected distance by the predetermined distance. CONSTITUTION:An engine rotational frequency signal from an engine rotation sensor 6, back signal from a back switch 1 and a distance signal for advance and retreat of a car from a distance sensor 7 are respectively inputted to a microcomputer 8. The microcomputer 8 transmits a carrier wave from an ultrasonic wave transmitter 3 through a transmitting circuit 2, receives a reflected wave for the same from an obstacle by means of an ultrasonic wave receiver 5 and receives a signal through a receiving circuit 4. Then, the microcomputer 8 performs predetermined operation based upon these inputted signals and changes, in phased indication of the distance to the obstacle, relation between each boundary distance and a detected distance to the obstacle by the predetermined distance, and subsequently has a distance shorter to the car than the detected distance by the predetermined distance, indicated on an indication measure 10.
