Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a high-accuracy safety control, by emitting the fixed pulse wave from the car to give a cyclic variation to the time interval of the pulse wave and thus securing a clear distinction between the wave emitted from the emitter's car and the reception of the reflected wave. CONSTITUTION:When receiving command 11a, radar 11 of car 1 emits a pair of pulse waves obtained by giving the pulse modulation to the ultrasonic wave toward the front of the car from wave transmitter 12 and with fixed time interval Ta. And the time of the pulse interval is measured for a pair of reflected pulse waves received through wave receiver 13, and data 11c is generated. Based on data 11c, microcomputer 15 identifies the reception of a pair of real reflected pulse wave and then calculate the distance to preceding car 2 to generate the alarm signal and the seat- belt locking signal when the distance between cars becomes outside the safety region according to the speed of the car. In such way, a pair of pulse waves are emitted cyclically, and at the same time the fixed time interval is varied successively. As a result, an easy distinction is secured between the reception of the reflected wave and the reception of the noise.
