Abstract

PURPOSE:To reject pulse noise due to multi-path interference, by detecting the generation of multi-path interference and rejecting a pilot signal during its period. CONSTITUTION:When a reception state is changed, and a reception signal received on an antenna 1 is troubled with multi-path interference, then a pilot signal is subjected to interference, high frequency noise component included in the reception signal is increased and it passes through a band pass filter 12, a signal produced at an output terminal of a level detection circuit 14 is rapidly increased and an output of a differentiation circuit 16. Thus, a control transistor 11 turns on and a series resonance circuit 8 is resonated with a pilot signal frequency. As a result, the pilot signal is attenuated and rejected. Thus, the pilot signal having undesirable amplitude and phase is not applied to a stereo multiplex circuit 7 and the generation of pulsive noise is prevented. Then, a monaural signal is produced at both output terminals 21 and 22.
