Abstract

PURPOSE:To elevate thermal efficiency of a furnace and a quality of a steel plate, by blowing a part of atmospheric gas of a soaking zone to a preheating zone through a bypass duct, and also keeping furnace internal pressure of the soaking zone higher than furnace internal pressure of the heating zone. CONSTITUTION:A flow rate is contdolled by driving a driving device 15 of a flow rate control valve 9 through a furnace pressure setting device 13 in accordance with a difference of pressure between a furnace internal pressure sensor 14 of a soaking zone 3 and a furnace internal pressure sensor 14' of a heating zone 2. That is to say, the setting device 13 is set so that furnace internal pressure of the soaking zone 3 becomes higher than furnace internal pressure of the heating zone 2 by a constant value or above, and when it becomes the constant value or below, the opening of the valve 9 is closed by operating the device 15, and a flow rate flowing to a bypass duct 7 is reduced. On the contrary, when said furnace internal pressure becomes higher than the constant value, the flow rate of the duct 7 is increased so that a difference of the pressure enters into a prescribed reange. Also, the furnace internal pressure of the zone 3 is made higher than that of the zone 2 so that gas of the zone 2, containing oxygen does not go into the zone 3, and the oxidation of a steel plate 4 is prevented.
