Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase an efficiency of pulverized coal gasification by separately supplying part of pulverized coal gasifying gas into a spouted bed gasifier and increasing oxygen concn. on the surface of a slug flowing down along the gasifier wall. CONSTITUTION:Pulverized coal is supplied via a material coal supply pipe 4 into the gasification zone of a gasifier 1. A gasifying agent consisting of oxygen and steam, air and steam, or oxygen, air and steam is supplied via a gasifying agent supply pipe 5 to the gasification zone 2. At that time, oxygen in an increased amt. in relation to carbon in the coal supplied via a lower nozzle 8, is supplied, as a gasifying agent via the same nozzle 8, to effect complete combustion. The completely burned coal particle gives ash, which melts and flows down along the gasifier wall. CO2 evolved by combustion and an excess of oxygen swirling by rise to gasify together with steam pulverized coal supplied via an upper nozzle 8, and the resulting gas is discharged as a combustible gas from the top of the gasifier 1.
