CONSTITUTION:In a multi-layer electrooptical cell, for instance, in a 2-layer liquid crystal cell, electrodes 13A, 13B among electrodes 13A-13D on 3 pieces of glass substrated 11A, 11B and 11C are connected to a lead wire fetching part 15A formed on the reverse side of the upper substrate 11A through a transfer 14 in a seal 12A. Lead wires of the electrodes 13C, 13D are connected to a lead wire fetching part 15B of the upper substrate 11A by a cell end transfer 16 through a transfer 14B in a seal 12B. In this way, all the lead wire fetching parts are concentrated on the reverse side of the surface substrate 11A so as to be connected with the driving circuit easily.
