Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily check a spark plug not generated with a spark, in an ignition detector circuit for an automobile or the like, by distributing a detector pulse, caused from high voltage at the primary side of an ignition coil, to each of plural ignition coils. CONSTITUTION:Reverse phased signals INa, INb from a CPU are input to an output circuit 4', then high voltage is generated at rise up of said signals in primary and secondary sides of ignition coils 2a, 2b. These primary side high voltages Vp1a, Vp1b are input to a pulse generator circuit 6 through an OR circuit to output a pulse signal Q'. While a flip flop circuit 16 is set at one side by the generated high voltage and reset at the other side, then the signal is distributed to phia, phib at each of two spark plugs by a pulse distributor circuit 15. Now a plug channel 5a is in failure, if high voltage is not generated in a primary side of the ignition coil 2b, the flip flop circuit 16 is only reset, then the pulse distributor circuit 15 only outputs phib.
