Abstract

PURPOSE:To flatten the discharge characteristic of a solid lithium battery by using lithium nitride as the solid electrolyte of the battery, and using a chalcogenide of tungsten or molybdenum as the positive active material. CONSTITUTION:The positive active material of a solid lithium battery, which contains lithium used as a negative active material and lithium nitride used as a solid electrolyte, is made of a matter containing at least one kind of chalcogenides of W or Mo. The above positive active material, which is at least one kind of the chalcogenides with S, Se and Te of W or Mo, preferably contains below 30vol% of an electron conducting metal. As the above electron conducting metal, at least one element chosen from among Pb, Cu, Fe and Ni is preferably used. In addition, the above solid electrolyte, positive active material and electron conducting metal are preferred to be in powdery form with a grain diameter below 1,000mu.
