Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate generation of a crack at the segregated part, accordingly the need for annealing at the intermediate process is made unnecessary, by performing build-up welding the segregated part in the groove part as it is or after cutting a part of the segregated part, and performing butt welding. CONSTITUTION:Build-up 3 is made to a butt welding part of the segregated part 2 at the open tip of a steel plate 1 at a preparatory temperature of 100 deg.C and about 5mm. or more in depth of the build-up. Then, the build-up 3 is made smoothed with a grinder and butt welding at 200 deg.C of preparatory temperature, 600-650A in welding current, 29-33V in welding voltage through multi-layered bead 4 with submerged arc welding.
