Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the cooling efficiency of heat generated in the winding unit of a resin molded coil by a method wherein heat collecting plates are placed between the winding units accumulated at the prescribed interval in the axial direction, and heat pipes are equipped in inserting holes provided in the radial direction. CONSTITUTION:The plural cylindrical winding units 4 are accumulated at the prescribed interval in the axial direction, and are integrated in one body to form a hollow cylinder with a thermosetting resin 5. The heat collecting plates 12 being formed respectively with a heat pipe inserting hole to be inserted with the heat receiving part 6A of a heat pipe 6 provided with a radiator 7 at the outer circumferential side of the resin molded coil are buried between the mutual winding units 4. The heat collecting plate 12 is consisted of a metal material or ceramic, etc., having high heat conductivity, and grooves are provided in the heat collecting plate in the circumferential direction or in the radial direction to reduce eddy current loss. Accordingly heat generated in the winding unit 4 is radiated through the thermosetting resin 5, the heat collecting plate 12, the heat receiving part 6A of the heat pipe 6 and the radiator 7, and the coil can be cooled effectively.
