Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the starting of an engine by a method wherein a side path equipped with a heating chamber is formed in the frame of the carburettor for an alcohol engine. CONSTITUTION:The side path 6, communicating with a suction path 2, is formed in the frame 1 of the carburettor detouring a throttle valve 5 while a piston type control valve 9 opening and closing the opening section of a fuel nozzle 8 and the side path 6 simultaneously is provided. A tubular heating chamber 11 is provided on said side path 6 and a heating body 15 is stood up in this heating chamber 11. In order to start this engine, a switch 16 is closed firstly to heat the heating body 15 by conducting electric current, subsequently, the side path 6 and the fuel nozzle 8 are opened by lifting up the control valve 9 under a condition wherein the throttle valve 5 is closed. According to this method, the mixture of fuel is heated by being induced into the heating chamber 11 and being risen around the heating body 15, subsequently, is sucked into the combustion chamber of the engine through an annular chamber 13 and the suction path 2.
