Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit recirculation in the exhaust amount corresponding to the driving state by adjusting the opening of a negative pressure control valve corresponding to the opening of the throttle valve in an intake passage and adjusting the negative pressure amount to an EGR valve.
CONSTITUTION: Intake and exhaust passages 11 and 12 are interconnected with an EGR passage 13 equipped with an EGR valve 19, and a part of exhaust gas is recirculated to the intake passage 11. The negative pressure chamber 24 of the valve 19 is interconnected with a vacuum pump 27 through a negative pressure passage 39. To the negative pressure passage 39, an air passage 30 which communicates to an air cleaner 28, is interconnected, and switching is carried-out by a negative pressure control valve 20 which is interconnected with a throttle valve 16. Therefore, the negative pressure amount which is introduced into the negative pressure chamber 24 according to the opening of the throttle valve 16 is determined.
