Abstract

PURPOSE:To capacitate the subject invertor to operate up to the high frequency by a method wherein the commutating circuits of the positive and negative side arm are provided. CONSTITUTION:The AC terminal of the invertor bridge 3 comprising the main thyristors 31-36 is connected to the auxiliary thyristor bridge 5 comprising the auxiliary thyristors 51-56. Then the commutating circuit for the positive side arm comprising the choppers 13, 14, the diodes 15, 16 and the capacitor 17 is provided on the positive side of the auxiliary thyristor bridge 5 while the other commutating circuit for the negative side arm comprising the choppers 63, 64, the diodes 65, 66 and the capacitor 67 is provided on the negative side of said auxiliary thyristor. Through these procedures, the commutating circuit of one side arm may start operation even if the commutating circuit of the other side arm is already under operation capacitating the both commutating circuits to operate up to the high frequency.
