Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease the number of circuit elements and at the same time to increase the accuracy of division by N times, by providing a 1/N memory and a data selector. CONSTITUTION:The divisor and divided are referred to as Y and X respectively, and N/Y which is N times as much as the reciprocal of the divisor is stored in a memory 1'. Then the X and the Divisor N/Y are supplied to a multiplier 2, and the results of the multiplier 2 are fed to data selectors 4-11 respectively. The data of each digit of the selectors 4-11 are multiplied by the 1/N value given from a memory 3 to increase the accuracy and then delivered as the result A of division.
