Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect a freezing state, by storing a vessel enclosed a freezed liquid together with the material which developes color by reacting with said liquid. CONSTITUTION:The freezing point of a solution dissolved salts or alcohols etc. in water is dropped in accordance with the quantity of a solute. This water or aqueous solution is enclosed in a vessel made of the material having low elasticity and is freezed by cooling lower than the specific freezing point of the liquid. Then, the vessel contracting its volume by cooling is broken on account of cubical expansion. But, the liquid is not exuded out of broken vessel because the liquid is solidified. This liquid enclosed vessel is brought into contact with another material and the liquid in the vessel is exuded out of the vessel and mixed with another material when the temperature is elevated to that of melting ice. For that reason, discoloration or color development is generated due to thawing in case when the material which discolors or develops color by mixing with said solution is combined. It is detected that the temperature is attained to above the prescribed temperature by this discoloration or color development.
