Abstract

PURPOSE:To pervent a corrosion caused by mists in a heating device by a method wherein in case of discharging combustion waste gas from a chimney with being heated after the gas is desulfied under a wet condition, the desulfied waste gas is heated by a desired device down to a desired humidity. CONSTITUTION:Hot waste gas 1 containing sulfure oxide is guided by a fan (a) to heat conducting pipe 3' in duct 2 and heat exchanged with a heat medium such as water, oil etc. to be circulated in the line 3 by the pump (b) and cooled down to a temperature of about 70-90 deg.C. Then, the waste gas is guided to the wet gas absorption device 4, contacted with the absorption liquid to cause the sulfur oxide gas to be transmitted to the absorption liquid, the gas is cooled to have a humidity and saturated with water. Then, the waste gas is fed into the first heating device 9 and heated up to such a degree as showing a relative humidity of 80% or less at the inlet of the secondary heater device 12 by steam flowed in the heat conduting pipe 10. The second heating device 12 has a hot heat transmitting pipe 3'' of said line 3 and said waste gas is heated there to a desired temperature, then discharged from a chimney 8.
