PURPOSE:To display the vibrating state of a rotary shaft so that it can be understood at a glance, by monitoring the vibrating state in accordance with a judging reference based on the amplitude value of the shaft vibration and the value of its rate of change. CONSTITUTION:The number of rotation of the shaft 17 of a generator 3 is detected by a rotation detectors 4, and its output is supplied to a rotation level converter 8 through an amplifier 7. Meanwhile the outputs of shaft vibration detectors 5a-5f are supplied to a vibration level converter 9 through amplifiers 7a-7f. The output from a detector 6 for the quantity of generation is supplied to a generated quantity level converter 10 through an amplifier 5g. The outputs of said converters 8-10 are inputted to a computer 12 through an AD converter 11. Necessary data is inputted to the computer 12 through a console 16 from a push button 15. The vibration amplitude, its rate of change, and a reference pattern are processed, and the vibrating state of the shaft 17 is displayed on the CRT 14 through a picture generator 13 so that it is understood at a glance.
