Abstract
PURPOSE: To detect the presence of a flaw caused in a bearing and the size of the flaw, by inputting a vibration output signal data from a vibration sensor into a computer to perform calculation and processing.
CONSTITUTION: The vibration of a bearing 1 is changed into an electric signal by a sensor 5. The electric signal is amplified by an amplifier circuit 6. The amplified signal is half-wave-rectified by a rectifier circuit 7 and then integrated by an integration circuit 12. A rotating position detection signal is applied from another sensor 14 to a differentiation circuit 18 through an amplifier 16 and a wave form shaping circuit 17 so that the detection signal is differentiated. A vibration output signal due to a flaw is supplied from the integration circuit 12 to a computer 13 synchronously with the application of a pluse signal from the differentiation circuit 18 to the computer. Numerous vibration output signal data are thus inputted the computer 13, which calculates the average and dispersion of the data. The result of the calculation and the relation between the amplitude and frequency of vibration are indicated on a cathode-ray tube display unit 20.
