Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve a compressing and evaporating method for steam by solar heat which economizes electric power consumption in desalting of raw material water by combining a titled method with a solar heat collector and specifying the evaporation temp. of the raw material water as well as deaeration and bleeding.
CONSTITUTION: The fresh water heated in a solar heat collector 4 evaporates in a heat accumulation tank 7 under reduced pressure. The steam serves as a heating source in a heating tube bundle 16 and returns into the tank 7 after condensation. Here, the evaporation temp. is controlled at 50W80°C and the synergistic effect of the efficiency of solar heat collection and the specific gravity of steam is utilized. On the other hand, the sea water which is raw material water is preheated in a cooling tube bundle 27 and is sprayed to the tube bundle 16 from a feed water spraying device 14, whereby it is heated. The dissolved air is released from a pipe 15 and is accumulated into a partition wall 10. This air ejects through outlets 9 into an evaporation chamber 13 and is heat exchanged in a heat transmitting tube bundle 12. The produced steam is compressed with a compressor 19 and serves as a heating source in the bundle 12. The water condensed by this accumulates in a header 36, and the concd. water accumulates in the bottom of the chamber 13. This water is heat exchanged and cooled in cooling chambers 25, 26 respectively. The uncondensible gases from the pipes 28, 29 are dissolved well in the water in the chambers 25, 26 and therefore no electric power is required for discharging.
