Abstract

PURPOSE:To rigidly hold a superconductive field coil while facilitating the machining of the coil by securing the linear part of the coil in the slot of a coil mounting shaft with a wedge, containing the end in the stepped part of the shaft, engaging the holding ring and holding the coil. CONSTITUTION:When a superconductive field coil 3 is secured to a coil mounting shaft 2, the linear part of the coil 3 is contained in a slot formed on the shaft 2, a wedge 19 is then inserted into the opening of the slot and is fixed. The end of the coil 3 is contained in the stepped part of the shaft 2, a filler 23 of insulator is filled in the gap of each coil, a holding ring 16 is engaged and held through the insulator with the stepped part. In this manner, the machining of the coil can be facilitated, the coil 3 can be rigidly fixed, and since a bobbin is not used, its occupying rate can be enhanced.
