Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of magnetic sensors, by a method wherein a device is constituted such that a magnet, which is increased in an area, positioned facing and opposite to a magnetic sensor, corresponding to a change in an angle, and the magnetic sensor, positioned facing and opposite to the magnet, are located at a given distance, and with this either of them spins centering around a turning center. CONSTITUTION:A magnet 11, shown in an oblique line, is installed on a peripheral surface of a column 9 which is supported so that it can spin centering around a turning center 10, and a sensor 12 is positioned at a distance l away from and facing and opposite to the magnet 11. When an object to be detected turns, the column 9 spins in synchronism with the object, but the magnet 11 is increased in an area, positioned facing and opposite to the sensor, in proportion to a change in an angle theta. This permits the detection of the angle theta without the need to adjust the column 9 to a reference position through the output voltage of the magnetic sensor 12 before measuring.
