Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress the dusting and dehydrate low-grade coal efficiently, by heating the low-grade coal with steam, etc. under high pressure in a pressure vessel, separating the moisture in the form of a liquid, and feeding the coal treated in the next to the pressure vessel by the slurry transportation with the generated high-temperature waste water.
CONSTITUTION: Low grade-coal is fed from a belt conveyor 21 and classified in a classifier 22. Coal of large grain diameter is passed through a crusher 23 and classified in the classifier 24 passed through a raw coal bunker 15 to a hydraulic transporting chamber 25, and then with high-temperature waste water from a hot-water storage tank 6 fed to a pressure vessel (1a) by a pump 26. Hot water or steam is fed through a hot-water line (2a) into the pressure vessel (1a) and heated under pressure to separate the moisture contained in the low-grade coal in the liquid form and dehydrate the coal without evaporation. Waste wter at a relatively high temperature formed in the dehyration is fed to the hot-water storage tank 6, and used for feeding the previously crushed low-grade coal by the slurry transportion to the pressure vessel (1b).
