Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A crushed and classified clow-grade coal is transferred by a raw coal feed conveyor 12 fed to plural pressure vessels (1a) and (1b), and steam is fed through steam lines 3, (3a) and (3b) to heat the coal under high pressure. The respective pressure vessels are heated to the first preheating, second preheating and the n-th preheating one after another to separate the contained moisture in the low-grade coal in the form of a liquid. The evaporated water after the process of the first, second and the n-th evacuation and the completion of the n-th evacuation is sucked from a gas discharge line 7 through a steam ejector 14 and fed through a steam line 13 to another vessel and used as a preheating source and carry out the dehydration of the low-grade coal efficiently.
