Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform high reliable temperature control in an electric conduction controller of glow plug, by flowing a large initial current of conduction through an electromagnetic relay contact parallelly connected to a semiconductor switch. CONSTITUTION:If a key switch 5 is turned, an ST terminal is turned on to start a starter motor, simultaneously a pulse oscillator 42 in an on-off control circuit 4 is oscillated, and an initial pulse is input to a relay switch control circuit 8 to set a flip flop and close an electromagnetic relay contact 7a through an inveter 83, though glow plugs 1 are electrically conducted through a resistor 2, heating unit resistance is cold and small, then outputs of a comparator 41 and OR gate 43 are held to an H level to perform a rapid temperature rise. If the heating unit resistance reaches set temperture by R1-R4, the output of the comparator 41 is inverted to reset an electromagnetic relay. On the other hand, a semiconductor switch 3a is operated through a delay circuit 9, not to flow a current during closing of the contact 7a, and the set temperature is maintained by a small current after a rise of temperature.
