Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a substance usable as a deodorant, oxidation inhibitor for foods, raw material for cosmetics, medicines and additive in feeds, by fermenting a substance formed by the melanoidin reaction of a natural polysaccharide further aerobically.
CONSTITUTION: A substance produced from a natural polysaccharide by the melanoidin reaction is fermented further aerobically with a yeast to give a secondary fermentation product of the natural polysaccharide granulative without requiring a binder. The resultant fermentation product produces a powerful viscosity by pentosan in plant polysaccharide, and the formed colloidal substance develops the electrical phenomenon by the physical treatment, and can be granulated optionally to a particle diameter of 0.2W5mm. The substance in the form of a powder, granule, or aqueous solution, etc. is used for the deodorization of excrementitious smell and putrid smell of animal or plant bodies, purifying agent of sewage, freshness retention of marine fishes and fats or oils by the oxidation prevention, oxidatio inhibition of foods, raw materials for preparing cosmetics and medicines.
