Abstract
PURPOSE: Nutritionally essential trace metals are chelated with bodies of a microorganism to produce a veterinary nutrition-promoting preparation enriched with nutritionally essential, trace metals.
CONSTITUTION: An aqueous solution of a salt of nutritionally essential metal, especially trace metal such as Mg, Fe, Cu or Zn, e.g., aqueous iron sulfate, is mixed with cells of chlorella, phototroph, yeast or a residue after water-soluble ingredients are removed from the cells or a cell mixture of plural kinds of bacteria or residual mixture to form chelate bonds between these nutrition metals and the cells. After the product is stood for a while, the supernatant is removed, water is sufficiently added to the remainder to effect washing and the product is dried.
