Abstract
PURPOSE: Oil-soluble flavor components are dissolved or dispersed in a wax and the wax is crushed into small particles or granulated by prilling to produce the food- flavoring composition that can keep the flavor for a long time, when it is added to a food product for flavoring.
CONSTITUTION: Oil-soluble flavor components usually used for food products are dissolved or dispersed in a wax such as paraffin wax, honey wax or hardened cotton seed oil and they are frozen and crushed into particles of less than 60 mesh size or granulated by prilling into particles about 1mm diameter.
