CONSTITUTION:An accessory start substance 15 consisting of a molybdate wire substance 16 and a cylindrical alumina earthenware insulator 17 whose tip is blinded is electrically and mechanically connected to a support frame 4 with the same potential with one main electrode 2 and makes contact to the outside of a glow tube by bending its tip and being separated slightly from a main electrode 3. Since an electric field is strengthed partly by the accessory start substance 15 and space charge creates a further intense field distortion, the maximum value of the discharge start voltage at restart can be reduced.
