Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the assured transfer of the developer, by setting the permanent magnets in the adjacent magnet rolls opposite to ech other and in the opposite polarity to each other and at the same time setting the magnetic poles in the direction opposite to the rotating direction of a sleeve with a slight shift between them. CONSTITUTION:A transfer magnetic pole S11 of a permanent magnet 12' of the 1st magnet roll 1' is set in the direction opposite to the rotating direction of a sleeve 11 with a slight shift to the position of a magnetic pole N22 having the opposite polarity of a permanent magnet 22' of the 2nd magnet roll 2' that is set close and opposite to the roll 1'. Thus an oblique magnetic connection is caused between the poles S11 and N22. In such constitution, a developer 3' has no pause between the rolles 1' and 2' to produce an eddy rotation. As a result, the developer 3' has two different types of flows. One of these flows passes short through the upper side, and the other flow is once drawn into the eddy and then transferred to the roll 2' to be put together with the other flow. Thus the developer is mixed evenly to be transferred in an assured way with no variance of transport.
