Abstract

PURPOSE: To rotate a shaft, by arranging permanent magnets with the same polarity on the outer peripheries and opposite polarity at their centers with a prescribed distance between them and inserting in the gap a shut-off borad in such a way that it can move freely.
CONSTITUTION: Two same round shaped magnets with same and one polarity on their peripheries and the other polarity in their centers are mounted on two shafts 3 respectively with a prescribed distance between them. A shut-off board 7 is freely moved in the direction of the arrow mark 8 in the gap 6 of the permanent magnets 5. When the top end 9 of the shut-off board 7 comes off the center line 9 by a suitable length, the periheral poles of the same polarity of the permanent magnets 5 repulse mutually and rotate. By this movement the shaft 3 can be rotated.
