Abstract
PURPOSE: To conduct polarity direction sorting correctly and continuously by utilizing strong magnetism of lead on both ends of a part and applying electromagnetic attraction and mechanical force.
CONSTITUTION: When North and South poles of permanent magnets 12 and 13 are made to face each other and a diode having a lead of strong magnetism is placed between them magnetic field direction is equilibratedly held. As thus aligned and held diode's leads' both ends are prescribed by the magnet and the leads have respectively different lengths, they are separated into groups 1a and 1b closer to South pole and groups 1c and 1d closer to North pole. They are moved by a very small external force and get closer to an index drum 9. The drum is composed of a main body 16 and grooves 14 surrounding the main body 16 and all the gooves are provided with bar-like magnets 15, which are arranged oppositely to position of the diode's main body in the groups closer to South pole, the groups closer to South pole are selectively taken into the grooves 14 and separated by the magnets 15 in the circumferential direction, and then taken out by a lever 17 after having turned around a half of the circumference. Polarity sorting is conducted accurately and continuously in this fashion without being interrupted halfway.
