Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the compact, highly accurate, stable device, by forming a dielectric multiple layer films on both end surfaces of the optical rod having the end area which can reflect incident light in the multiple directions, and providing an electric detecting means which logically synthesizes the electric signal obtained by converting the emitted light. CONSTITUTION:The optical rod 18 which acts as temperature sensor is arranged in a light path between a light sensor 10 and on an optical diode array IC plate 24. The optical rod 18 is of cylindrical shape having a specified length l determined by the range of temperature measurement. The dielectric multiple layer films 18a and 18b are formed on both parallel ends of the rod. A beam splitter 12 is provided in front of the optical rod 18, and monochromatic laser light emitted from a light emitting device 13 is inputted to the optical rod 18 together with white light. A beam splitter 21 is provided behind the optical rod 18. The light having a specified wavelength and the laser light emitter from the optical rod are inputted to the optical diode IC plate 24 and a photoelectric transducer 26 and transduced into electric signals. Said electric signals are computed and processed in a microprocessor 27.
