Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease running resistance and improve a degree of fuel consumption in running by arranging air intake throttle control circuit to control movement of driving means of air intake throttle of Diesel engine on the basis of output of an inertia running detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The throttle valve 7 in an air intake pipe 6 is driven by operating a diaphragm valve 5, shifting negative pressure of a vacuum pump 1 to three way magnetic valve 4 through a reservoir 3. An interia running is made in such a case that accelerator is entirely closed, speed of the car isn't less than the arranged value, a brake isn't stepeed on, the speed change gear is ketp on the position of gear other than the neutral position, and a clutch isn't stepped on. Thus running resistance as the whole part of vehicle is decreased pressing the air intake at the interita running time of the vehicle, so that the rate of fuel consumption in running can be improved.
