Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate operation and control in the stage of concentrating a solid-liquid mixture and making solid and liquid separatable from a fairly wide range by providing a separating disc intersecting orthogonally with a bowl shaft, inserting and fixing a vane wheel non-rotatably into the bowl.
CONSTITUTION: The solid-liquid mixture fed through a supply port 4 is separated by receiving centrifugal forces between a conveyor 2 and a bowl 1. The water content in the innermost layer is prevented from flowing into an agitating chamber 7 by a separating disc 8 and the water content is released through the discharge port on the opposite side. The concd. materials are forced gradually into the chamber 7 where they are agitated by vane pieces 11 to a uniform slurry which is delivered through a discharge port 10 out into a conc. liquid discharge port 9. Since the basic construction of a centrifugal concentrator can be applied in this way, the operation and control are easy, the uniformly agitated concd. liquid is recovered and the efficiency of recovery is improved.
