Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the efficiency of waste liquid-purification, while inhibiting adhesion of scale to a heat-transmitting surface, by subjecting a solution dissolving prevaporized soluble substance in it and suspension containing insoluble substance in it to evaporation using a centrifugal thin-film evaporator.
CONSTITUTION: Concentrated waste liquid having solid concentration of about 20wt% is treanferred into a solution-feed tank 14, while the resin slurry of suspension is conditioned at solid concentration of about 10wt% and transferred into a suspension-feed tank 15. The concentrated waste liquid is fed through a liquid-feed pipe 20 into a centrifugal thin-film evaporator 21 at a fixed feed speed by a feed pump 18 and a flow rate-control valve 19 after a switch valve A17 is opened. In the centrifugal thin-film evaporator 21, the concentrated waste liquid is evaporated and dried into a powdery state so that its volume is reduced to one of few parts. The volume-reduced waste matter is then transferred into a powder hopper 22, and changed into safe cake by a plastic-caking means.
