Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the number of elements, by providing a code converting circuit between a latch taking an input at the first half period of a clock and a latch taking the input at the latter half period of the clock, in a gray code for A/D converter output of parallel comparison system. CONSTITUTION:Gray-coded digital outputs A-D are picked up from the output of a comparison group in parallel connection. When a clock CP is at high level, diodes D1-D5 are non-conductive in master latches 3a-3d and the digital outputs A-D are fetched. The outputs of the master latch 3a-3d are applied to a code converting circuit 4 and converted into a binary code when a clock CP is at high level. When the clock CP is at low level, the output of the converting circuit 4 is fetched with slave latches 5a-5d and outputted at terminals N-Q.
