Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain copies of correct density from the 1st sheet by disposing plural pieces of reflection type sensor heads consisting of optical fibers on the surface of an original on a plate, and supplying light from one light source to plural pieces of said sensor heads. CONSTITUTION:Light is conducted from a light source 5 to a reflection type sensor head 2 by a transmission side fiber 3. In the head 2, the fiber 3 and a photodetection side fiber 4 are constituted in one body. The head 2 has functions of irradiating the light to an original 7 to be detected of its density and receiving the light reflected therefrom. The reflected light detected with the head 2 is conducted through the fiber 4 to a photodetector 6 which is a detecting part. In the figure, the example constituted of one piece of fiber is shown, and it is also possible to use plural pieces of fibers to each head.
