Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the displacement of an object to be measured even though the object to be measured is placed on the part where the rate of change in a light receiving level is large, by emitting parallel light from a lens to the object to be measured, elongating the light emitting distance, and detecting the reflected light. CONSTITUTION:The emitted beam from a light transmitting fiber 2 is converted into the parallel beam by the lens 8 and irradiated on the object to be measured 6. The reflected light is converged on an end surface 7 of a light receiving fiber 3 by a lens 9. An optical axis adjusting mechanism 10 is adjusted, and an angle theta formed by the light transmitting system comprising the light transmitting fiber 2 and the lens 8 and the light receiving system comprising the light receiving fiber 3 and the lens 9 is determined so that the light receiving level becomes the maximum when a distance l is a specified value. Thus the displacement of the object to be measured is measured.
