Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a welding rod suited for build-up welding to members for which cavitation erosion resistance is required by using the welding rod of a specific compsn. CONSTITUTION:This welding rod is a build-up welding rod contg., by weight %, at least one kind of <=0.2% carbon and 0.02-0.3% nitrogen (where <=0.3% total amt. of carbon and nitrogen), <=2% silicon, 10-20% chromium, 0.5-10% nickel, 2%-20% manganese and the balance substantially iron or this and <=2% molybdenum. Hnece, this is usable as a welding rod for build-up welding to hydraulic turbine runners, guide vanes, station erosion generating parts.
