Abstract
PURPOSE: To form a white film having opaque feel by forming anodically oxidized films by two stages of electrolysis on the surface of an Al or an Al alloy then painting a transparent resin thereon by an electrophoresis painting method.
CONSTITUTION: After an Al or Al alloy member is cleaned by degreasing, washing, etc., it is first formed with an anodically oxidized film by an ordinary method. Following to this, it is again anodically oxidize or electrolytically treated by AC in an aq. soln. of 0.3W3.5 pH contg. ≥1 kind of sodium salt, potassium salt, ammonia salt, etc. of phosphoric acid or phosphorous acid at ≥10g/l up to satd. amt., whereby metallic gloss of tansparent sliver white assuming a slightly white color is produced on the surface of Al. Following to this, resin paint of acrylic base, alkyd base, etc. is painted by electrophoresis, whereby the strong metallic gloss of the silver white is annihilated and the film which is visible in an opaque white color is formed.
