CONSTITUTION: A sand mold 1 is placed in the central part of an electromagnetic agitating coil 3, and molten cast iron is charged into the mold 1, then, agitation of prescribed intensity is given to the molten meta by the coil 3 for a prescribed time. According to this method, uniform solidification progresses in the central part and surface layer of the wall thickness and the central part of the wall thickness is crystallized with the spheroidal graphite similar to that near the wall of the mold.
