Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce bow waves and stern waves by water sucking action of propellers, by providing the properllers in conduits extending from a bow section to a stern section. CONSTITUTION:Water suction holes 3, 4 and water discharge holes 5, 6 are arranged symmetrically to each other with respect to the center of the hull, and the suction hole 3 (4) and the discharge hole 5, 6 are communicated through relatively small diameter conduit 7, 8. The propellers 16, 17 connected to engines 18, 19 are arranged to the rear of the conduits 7, 8, and change-over valves 12, 13 are arranged on the bow section sides of the conduits. Branch pipes 14,15 are led from the opposite suction sides to the change-over valves 12, 13 so that by the operation of the change-over valves 12, 13 water can be introduced from the opposite sides, thereby the ship can be turned.
