Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic lithographic printing plate of superior image characteristics, dimensional stability and print-resisting power by providing a conductive back-coating layer provided on the rear of a conductive paper substrate, a precoating layer provided on the front side of said paper substrate and a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The backing raw paper which is impregnated with a conducting agent, more particularly, moisture absorptive inorg. salts in such a way that the surface specific resistivity value attains <=10<11>OMEGA.cm (20 deg.C, 60% RH) is used. A conductive back-coating layer consisting of a conducting agent, a resin and, if necessary, filling pigments, etc. is provided on the rear side of this backing raw paper. Further, a precoating layer consisting of a conducting agent, a water- soluble resin and a vinyl synthetic resin emulsion of the amts. at which the surface specific resistivity attains 10<10>-10<11>OMEGA.cm (20 deg.C 60% RH) is provided on the front side of the backing raw paper. A photoconductive layer consisting of a photoconductive zinc oxide-resin dispersion system is provided on this precoating layer. There are polyvinyl trimethyle ammonium chloride, sodium polystyrene sulfonate, etc. for the conducting agents used for the precoating layer and the back-coating layer.
