Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to repair a gravity type dam even when the seabed ground and footing mound settled by a method in which a guide pipe vertically piercing a caisson and a foundation pile loosely fitted into the guide pipe and driven into the seabed are provide for a gravity dam in which the caisson is placed on the foundation mound on the seabed. CONSTITUTION:In a factory, a given number of guide pipes 2 are beforehand welded to the inside of a caisson 12. The caisson is towed to a given sea area and sunk, and then a foundation pile 3 is driven into the seabed until it reaches the substratum 11.
