Abstract
PURPOSE: Tea leaves are charged in a permeating vessel and its inside and surrounding are kept under reduced pressure, then the tea leaves are brought into contact with a heater under reduced pressure to effect concentrated heat treatment of tea leaves efficiently.
CONSTITUTION: Tea leaves are charged into vessel 5; the lid 2' is closed; and the vacuum chamber 1 is tightly sealed. Then, a vacum pump is driven to make the inside and surrounding of the vessel 5. When the vacuum reaches the prescribed level, the driving motor is started to rotate the vessel 5 and the hot air blower H is operated to send hot air into the pipe 8 to effect heating for drying. Further, when pressurized steam is sent by means of piping 10 or other divices and brought into contact with heater 7, this device can be used as a steamer.
