PURPOSE:To shorten the optical path length of a reimaging optical system and to reduce the size of a focusing detector which reimages the image on a focal plate by bisecting a pentagonal prism and taking luminous fluxes therefrom in said device. CONSTITUTION:A pentagonal prism which conducts the image formed on a focal plate 23 by an objective lens 21 and a mirror 22 onto an eyepiece lens 36 is divided to two prisms 25, 26. A luminous flux for distance measurement is reimaged on photoelectric converters 37, 37' by means of a reflection block 28, a distributing prism 31 and reimaging lenses 32, 32' and the images on said photoelectric converters move in accordance with the movement of an objective lens 1, whereby the detection of focus is accomplished. By the division of the pentagonal prism, the optical system for detecting focus is made short and the increase in the size of the finder system is prevented.
