PURPOSE:To prevent a loop back of a reception signal, by controlling a gate circuit through the generation of a mask signal with a prescribed width from a signal received from a photo coupling circuit, in a circuit coupling a transformer coupled transmission circuit and a photo transmission and reception circuit. CONSTITUTION:A signal 6A inputted via a pulse transformer 4A-1 from a transmission line 3 is received at a reception circuit 12A and outputted as a signal 7A via a gate 14-3A and a buffer 13-1A. This signal 7A is inputted to a coupling circuit 4B as a signal 7B via a photo transmission and reception circuit 5-1A of a photo coupling circuit 5 and a photo reception circuit 5-2B. That is, the signal 7B is inputted to a one shot multivibrator 17B and a buffer 13-3B, the output is outputted via gates 14-1B and 2B with the output of an FF15-B and turns on and off transistors 16-1B and 2B with drivers 9-1B and 2B and drives a transistor 4B-1 and is outputted to a transmission line 6. The circuit 17B outputs a prescribed width of pulse with the signal 7B, and a loop back signal via a reception circuit 12B is masked with a gate 14-3B.
