Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the electrode which do not react with oxygen in filler gas or oxygen generated by the dissociation due to discharge and wherein sputtering is substantially decreased, by forming the electrodes for the gas laser with perovskite type oxide. CONSTITUTION:The gas laser tube is constituted by a double tube of Pyrex glass comprising a cooling part 1 and a discharging part 2 located in the inside of the part 1. Both ends thereof are blocked by optical windows 7 and 8 made of ZnSe. Then, a cooling water inlet port 5 and a cooling water outlet port 6 are provided in the cooling part 1, and openings are provided at both ends of the discharge part 2. Electrode parts, which pierce the cooling part 1 and are protruded to the outside, are provided therein. Mixed gas of 11% CO2, 27% N2, 62% He is enclosed in the discharge part 2. In this constitution, an anode electrode 3 and a cathode electrode 4 which are enclosed in the electrode parts 5 are both formed with La1-xSrxMnO3(0<=x<1) which is the conductive perovskite type oxide. Or Nd1-xSrxC0O3, and LaC0O3 can be used.
