Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled substance, by carrying out the oxidation and dehydration of n-butene using a 4C spent fraction as a raw material, treating the reaction product gas in the presence of a catalyst consisting of Fe, Co, etc. and an alakli metal, Pb, etc. at high temperature, decomposing heavy substances as by-products.
CONSTITUTION: n-Butene is oxidized and dehydrated using a 4C spent fraction consisting essentially of n-butene, the reaction product gas is treated in the presence of a catalyst comprising (A) Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, Cu, La, or Ce and (B) alkaline (earth) metal and Pb or Sn at high temperature, high-molecular weight gaseous, tar, cabonaceous substances contained in the reaction product gas are decomposed, to give 1,3-butadiene. The atom ratio of the component A to component B is (1:0.01)W(1:4). The reaction product gas is treated at 250W700°C at normal pressure W10atm. for a contact time of 0.02W1sec.
